The Rope & Duck Company are Aileen Campbell – voice, Emma Roche – flute and Una MacGlone – double bass. Waymarkers is their first CD as a trio.

Campbell, MacGlone and Roche have been playing together as members of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra for over five years and have also collaborated on various art and performance projects for the Transmission gallery and Tramway in Glasgow and the November Music festival in the Netherlands. The trio investigate a kind of chamber improvisation utilising a sonorous and tonal sensibility, exploring more traditional methods of sound production side by side with more extended techniques.

All tracks were recorded at Streetlevel Photoworks Gallery in Glasgow with the final two recorded live in concert by John Cavanagh mixing live onto 1/4 inch tape.
